About Tidewell
Fifteen years on Sydney roofs, walls and stairwells.
We started Tidewell with one rule: prep like the finish depends on it — because it always does. That rule hasn't changed since, even as the team has grown from one ute to a full crew.
How we started
A two-person job that grew on word of mouth.
Tidewell began in 2011 repainting terraces around the Inner West. Word spread because jobs held up — no flaking, no callbacks, no colour drift in the sun. Fifteen years later that's still the whole pitch: do the unglamorous prep work properly, and the topcoat takes care of itself.
Today the crew handles everything from single-room refreshes to multi-storey strata exteriors and commercial fit-outs, but every job still gets the same site assessment and written scope before a tin is opened.

What we hold ourselves to
Three things every job gets, no matter the size.
Proper prep, every time
Masking, sanding, filling and priming before a single topcoat goes on — it's where most paint jobs actually fail.
Written, fixed-price quotes
You get a scoped quote before we start, and that's the number you pay — no surprise variations.
Stand behind the finish
Every job carries our five-year workmanship warranty, plus a free touch-up within the first year.
